Messageboard
After careful consideration, a few interesting conversations, some welcome support from friends & fans (and even a few requests for its return), we have cautiously decided to reinstate the messageboard.
The messageboard is an open environment where people are invited to come together to share their thoughts, ideas and opinions. Indeed, the timbre of the messageboard is generally a good benchmark for the satisfaction of the loyalest of Hornets fans.
What happens on the messageboard is no different to what has always happened on the terraces and in pubs, clubs and kitchens across the town. People who love the game and feel passionately about their club want to debate the issues, air their opinions and feel like they at least have some involvement.
Indeed, in the absence of an official club site there's little - if any - conduit for communication, so fans feel compelled to keep each other informed.
Ultimately, what's said on the messageboard is what Hornets fans (and the occasional visitor) actually think. It is a fascinating and valuable window on the issues that important to supporters and, having considered our position on this, we feel - as we always have - that the fans should have a voice on matters concerning their club.
We can't ask that everyone toes the party line and only ever posts positive things - we don't mind honesty and the truth, but we draw the line at propaganda. All we do ask is that everyone re-reads the terms and conditions and bears them in mind when they post; that people consider whether their postings would do more harm than good, and that contributors treat others as they'd wish to be treated.
Cheers
Mark and Jim
